Meeting at your hotel in Marrakech after breakfast to go in the direction of the High Atlas through the port of Tizi-n-Tichka, passing by a road that climbs from the plains up to 2260 m above sea level you find small villages, small waterfalls, changing the landscape and the colors of the mountains in a very suggestive way. And you can make a stop on the pitch for a refreshing glass of mint tea and admire the scenery before taking the road to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou [7], arriving in time for lunch. Here you can visit this famous Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has been the scene of the filming of movies like Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia, The Legionnaire, Tea in the Desert and many more. After driving through Ouarzazate, the famous Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, the Dades Gorges we will arrive in time for sunset where we will stop at a very typical romantic hotel for dinner and overnight.
In the morning, after breakfast, you will have the opportunity to take a walk in the Dades, then take the car to go to the Kasbah 1000, through the village of Tineghier and Jewish Kasbah, Todra Gorge to arrive in time for lunch, a walk in the gorge before taking the road to the desert of Merzouga through Erfoud and Rissani and arrive before sunset. From here you will leave the car in a hotel and you will start by camel to the dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend an amazing and unforgettable night in the Berber tent where you will complete dinner to the rhythm of drums and songs of the Touareg Berbers and the populations of southern Morocco under millions of stars and a little luck you can see the Milky Way. The next day, the camel will help you to get up in time to reach a large dune of 300 meters and to admire the sunrise until the border with Algeria. You will return by camel to the hotel after breakfast in the Berber tent.
Upon arrival in the desert of Merzouga we will explore most of its territory and later the village of Khemlia where the local population, black African, we will enjoy their traditional music and where every year in August there is a famous festival. Then visit the lake Dnit Srji famous for its pink flamingos and birdwatchers. You will then visit Rissani, Morocco’s former capital of economy and from where the caravans, the site of a market known for the exchange of donkeys and Berber medicines … but if you are not yet satisfied by the kasbah here if you can see many. Lunch will be with a family Touareg that will make you taste the pizza with its 44 Berber spices. Then return to Ouarzazate by a different path through the village and the Draa Nakob valley. We will then stop for tea and a visit to Agdez and after this we will leave for Ouarzazate where we will spend the night in a romantic and beautiful Riad with pool to cool off after a long day. Dinner will be served on the terrace.
After breakfast, we visit the city of Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Taourirt its studios and film studio Atlas Studios, the largest and most famous of all Africa. From here we head to ‘oasis of Fint, near Ouarzazate. Then we take the road to the Tizi-n-Tichka stopping for lunch in a small village. Coming then to Marrakech in the afternoon until the end of the tour.
