Departure is scheduled from Marrakech at 7h00 in the morning, taking the road to cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka passing towards the village of Ait Ben Haddou, fortified ksar with its beautiful kasbahs, Ait Ben Haddou has served as a natural set for many films producers since 1960. Once you arrive in the village of Ait Ben Haddou you take a walk to go on top of the hill overlooking the whole village. You will then head to Ouarzazate for lunch next to the famous Kasbah of Taourirt which presents the historical and cultural interest of Ouarzazate. After lunch, travel south and cross the second pass which is Tizi N’Tnifift at 1710m and the village of Ait Saoun, the ancient route of the caravans of traders coming from Sahara “Tombouktou”, you will reach the first administrative center called “Agdez Village “which marks the origin of the Draa Valley with its 6 successive palm groves declaring (Mezguita Palmary, Fezouata …) and kasbahs indicating the famous Tamnougalt Kasbah. You will continue through lunar landscapes and pre-Sahara routes until you reach Zagora, which is a small town, the native region of the Saadi dynasty (Saadi tombs in Marrakech) that used to rule Morocco in the seventeenth century. You will take a camel ride, ride the camels by sunset and arrive at our camp located in an oasis called Nekhla and enjoy dinner and overnight in the tents.
An early wake up to see the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a typical brakfast in Zagora camp in southern Morocco, then ride back the camels to meet your driver, then drive back to Marrakech, you will pass through Ouarzazate and have free time for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will continue through the Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech. The final point of your 2 days / 1 night.
