- Program Itinerary
Day 1: Airoport Marrakesh :
Upon arrival in Marrakech, a shuttle will be there for your convenience and will take you to your residence, a traditional Moroccan riad. You will have the opportunity to explore the nearby souk and the famous Djemaa el Fna, the well-known main place of Marrakech . Dinner and overnight in Marrakech at Riad les yeux bleus or Riad dar anika.
Day 2 : Marrakech / Berber Ksour / Telouat / Ouarzazate :
The day begins with a drive south through the impressive High Atlas Mountains. Through an unpaved road you will reach the mountain village of Telouet, where you will find Dar Glaoui, the former residence of a Berber prince. On the same day you will have the opportunity to see the fortified village (ksar) of Ait Benhaddou. Since 1987, this beautiful example of adobe architecture is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. From here we will drive to Ourzazate and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 3 : Ouarzazate / Boutaghar / Skoura / Boumalne Dadès :
After breakfast, our journey through the Valley of Roses and via Boutaghar takes us to the Gorges of Dadès. On the way we will see caves that until today are inhabited by Berber people and their herds of goats. After lunch, the journey continues through the village of Boumaine Dadès. Overnight in Xaluca Dades Dinner and breakfast included.
Day 4: Boumalne Dades / Touroug / Oasis Jorf / Merzouga :
In the morning, after breakfast, you will have the opportunity to take a walk in the Dades, then take the car to drive to the Kasbah 1000, through the village of Tineghier and Jewish Kasbah, Todra Gorge to arrive in time for lunch, a walk in the gorge before taking the road to the desert of Merzouga through Erfoud and Rissani and arrive before sunset. From here you leave the car in a hotel and depart by camel to the dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend an incredible and unforgettable night in a Berber tent where you will complete your dinner to the rhythm of the drums and songs of the Berber Tuareg and the populations of southern Morocco under millions of stars and if we are lucky you will be able to see the Milky Way. The next day, the camel will wake you up in time to reach a large dune of 300 m and admire the sunrise at the border with Algeria: Luxury camp in the desert of Merzouga .
Day 5 : Excursion to the desert of Merzouga:
After breakfast, you will return to your Kasbah hotel. Later we will make an excursion to Rissani, the first Moroccan royal capital. You will explore the ancient palace of the king and the famous market. On request, it is possible to visit a traditional Hamam; in the afternoon you will return to the Kasbah hotel. Overnight at the Kasbah Tomboctou .
Day 6 : Merzouga / Alnif / Tazzarine / Agdz / Ouarzazate :
We leave the desert in the morning and enjoy a walk in the region of Tafilalet where we stop for lunch in Alnif, a small Berber village. After lunch we will head towards Tazzarine and soon arrive in the Drâa Valley. In the valley we will travel to Agdz; then continue on mountain roads to Ourzazate, where we will spend the night in Ouarzazate at Le Temple Des Arts or dar chamaa .
Day 7 : Ouarzazate / High Atlas / Marrakech :
The fortified village (ksar) of Ait Benhaddou, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, is our next destination. The maze of houses, towers and powder magazines is a magnificent example of the traditional adobe architecture of the Berber people. On an unpaved road we reach the mountain village of Telouet, where we find Dar Glaoui, the former residence of one of the most powerful Berber princes. We will then depart for Marrakech, where our journey began. Here we will spend the night in a beautifully restored riad in the medina district. In the afternoon, a stroll through the souk and Djemaa el Fna square will round off the day. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech at Riad les yeux bleus or Riad dar Anika .
Day 8 : Marrakech / Airport :
In the morning there is an opportunity for more sightseeing depending on the time of your departure. Then you will be transferred to the airport.
